341. Triton Brewing Co. (Indianapolis, IN) - Gingerbread Milk Porter

“Originally brewed as a Brown Ale in 2011, Triton Brewing Company has a history of making gingerbread-spiced Ales at Thanksgiving time. A unique brew from the mind of Brewer Jon, this deliciously sweet, spicy and earthy Ale is here to help you enjoy the family and hearth.”

We decided to try our luck at Fort Harrison today for the snowy walk and sledding that we haven’t had the chance to do in the last couple of years because of not enough snow, so I talked Amy into trying the Triton Brewing Co. Bistro for lunch—and the ironic part is that I was the one of the three of us who enjoyed it the least. It was overpriced faux-gastropub fare, and I should know better than to get nachos at places like that, but apparently I do not. I was, however, pretty pleased with an 8-ounce pour of their Gingerbread Milk Porter. It’s clean and light (5.0%), with a spicy flavor that echoes root beer a little more than it does gingerbread. They brought out a sample pour of the nitro version and said that it was a little better for tasting the ginger, and I agreed. I was going to get a mix-and-match case to take home, but it turns out that the case discounts they advertise online don’t actually exist when you’re in the building. I’m no economist, but $11.22 for a 12-ounce six-pack does not qualify as any kind of deal. (And hell, as long as I’m piling it on, that description up there is pretty bad writing.)

Deep Thoughts #247b

Seriously…are there any Republicans on earth who are not fuck-dumb assholes with no concept either of reason or of the fucking constitution?

Deep Thoughts #247a

Um…Rand…Senators don’t get to decide what’s constitutional, and the House has already ”done” an impeachment. Sit down, and shut the fuck up.

Deep Thoughts #246

Um…Mitch…you no longer run the Senate. Shut your fucking mouth and let some real leaders do some real work for a fucking change, you asshat.

Deep Thoughts #245

President Biden is in good company: only three other Presidents have had poems read at their inaugurations—a lesson for Republicans, I hope.

Deep Thoughts #244

Maybe Republicans would be welcome at more places if they could manage more often to sound as sane and reasonable as Garth Brooks does here.

Deep Thoughts #243

In the name of fucking Darwin, please let this be the first great sign that 2021 will be the year the Republican party finally fucking dies.

Deep Thoughts #242

It’s very hard to respect homophobic goblins like Mike Pence; but when you hold him up against Donald Trump, you can see that it’s possible.

Deep Thoughts #241

James Comey fucked this country and everyone who lives in it four years ago, so why in the sweet blue fuck would we care what he thinks now?

Deep Thoughts #240

Possibly the worst thing is that even after this awful day, some Retardlicans will make an attempt to muster a defense for their party. Sad!

Deep Thoughts #239

Donald Trump needs to never talk again, and that also goes for his unhinged offspring and all the mental furballs who support these monkeys.

Deep Thoughts #238

I’m sorry your parents did not do a better job of raising and educating you, but “socialism” is not the same as “communism.” Please shut up.
